Thank you to Helen Foster, of Alton College, who tested Learnwise Olympus and Learnwise v2 with a Reload package, then wrote about it for us.

Learnwise Olympus and Learnwise v2 [http://www.learnwise.com/] are produced by Granada Learning and have a strong presence in the UK FE community. Learnwise Olympus is the latest version of their Learning Environment.

The sample course imports fine into Learnwise Olympus and Learnwise v2. The only difference is that in Learnwise v2 a course called "itemdemo" (the name is taken from the package name) is created whereas in Olympus the course is called "Main" (here, the name is taken from the default Organization name). (The name can easily be changed though.) The course may be exported then opened using Reload editor without any problem.

Learnwise administrators are able to import and export courses as SCORM or IMS packages. Tutors assigned to a particular course in learnwise are able to manage course structure (add and delete items and change the order). In Olympus tutors are also able to view and edit metadata.

Learnwise acts as a content repository. Learnwise v2 has a basic course descriptions search facility. Olympus has a full metadata search facility.

Courses created in Learnwise may be exported as SCORM packages then opened and edited using Reload editor.
